Because it lets me take notes and code at the same time, I usually take notes in vim (now #nvim) whenever I'm at a conference. Side note: attending programming conferences like #PyconUS or #GopherCon always inspire me to start up new projects or work on maintaining my old ones.

During #PyConUS2026 I've gotten a lot better at nvim, including learning how to use tabs. This will pay dividends whenever I'm using it (such as logged into servers).
