Calling Enbridge was not the most painful CSR experience I've ever had, but far from great.
Guy 1 was ok. He closed the account as requested, but then transferred me to guy 2 to do the disconnect. He seemed.... confused.

"yes. It's called electricity"
"but I mean gas?"
"no"
"You don't have another source of gas?"
"no"
I will accept your well wishes as my gas water and heat are getting replaced by heat pumps right now.

Instead of the govt capping petrol and gas prices, how about:
🚗Building EV infrastructure & setting fuel emissions standards so cheaper & better EVs are sold in Aus
🌞Building renewables infrastructure & addressing solar for flats & renters to get households off gas.
Maybe the Guardian could have asked about that?

“The utilities should not be in charge of energy planning in Massachusetts.” No kidding. So, don't put them in charge of the transition too or everyone will have heat pumps for cooling and gas "backups" for all their heating assuring zero drop in gas consumption.
The UK is supplying missiles to Ukraine to defend against the guy we are sending £6 million *a day* for fossil fuels.
This situation is inexcusable. Time to #GetOffGas NOW.
