The experience is quite different from more traditional IRC clients. Feels a lot less technical and more like modern messengers. I'm still not sure if I like it even though everything's working just fine.
There's also #halloy which is a modern GUI client that looks promising.
Notre Dame Linux Users Group#znc is now back!
The issue was that we had to recompile the modules to work with the new znc (1.9.0).
To do so, we installed znc-dev and then ran znc-buildmod on each plugin (clientbuffer, push).
Likewise, we also reenabled #gamja as an alternative way to connect to our #irc server (in addition to #thelounge
Now for the hard part... migrating our #mastodon server to new hardware!
