A Yellow Kolossie - member of the Ixia family.
We found the plants growing in the veld on the way to the beach. We saw the closed buds as we went down for an early swim. As we returned the sun had risen sufficiently to warm the plant enough for it to open into that glorious star shape. By early evening as the cool of evening increased the buds closed up again
