100 Markets in Brookside Park

Sunday, September 7th, will be our 100th Really Really Free Market in Brookside Park. This excludes all of the other extra events we've done at mutual aid day, anarchist book fairs, the bike collective, revolution records, and other venues.

We'd like to make this a special event, but we need your help. Please reach out during the next two weeks if you'd like to help in one of these ways.

Transportation to the market (8:30 AM)
Transportation from the market (12:00 PM)
Chalk Artist for the sign (Any day before 9/7)
Flyering around town (Any day before 9/7)
Skill share (any time 9AM to 12 PM at the market)
Pot luck donations
Also reach out if you are unable to attend but have a donation of goods for the market. We are trying to make this our biggest and best market yet!

This Sunday, August 3rd the Kansas City Really Really Free Market will be in Brookside park from 9AM until Noon. Mercifully, the morning weather will actually be quite cool. We will be set up on the hill at the corner of 57th Street and Brookside Blvd. I've been working on cleaning sorting and downsizing the market collection, but don't worry we still have plenty of great things to bring out the park this sunday.

This is a new section I'm trying out this month. I've always been hesitant to ask for any specific donations because I do not want to imply any obligation. As always, you do not need to donate in order to participate. Everything in the market is free for anyone and everyone. However, I often get people asking if there are any specific needs and this month seems like a great opportunity. The new school year is just days away and many families in the KC metro struggle to afford school supplies. So if you have any back packs, notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, crayons, pencil bags, markers, lunch boxes, pencil sharpeners etc. this month's market would be a particularly great time to donate.
