I was thinking about the flosser a student photographed for me last week (because my ancient phone had no battery) and then forgot to text me, walking along imagining a networked map of Vancouver flossers and then, in front of me, there it was: a #flosstodon bearing the marks of vehicle traffic, on the pathway behind the wing with the large lecture halls.

I was walking to my office from class in the math building (because our classes have increased in size by 50%, and there aren’t enough right-sized classrooms in the Arts area) with an undergrad. He was nonplussed as I paused, and pounced, and snapped a jpeg.

I’m so excited: my first Toronto #flosstodon, sober in colour, finished, en bloc, even to the matte black floss itself, in a way that befits the self-image of plastics discarders in the big smoke. On the pavement in front of Union Station this morning.
