True back in 2013 when much was made of that. Not quite so true a decade later. #Flexport is in trouble this year, and Apple has been touting it's "greener" approach to transport now that the general public no longer looks so favourably on aeroplanes.

But Clark doesn't work for Amazon anymore. After losing a power-struggle to succeed Jeff Bezos - the job went to "longtime rival" #Andy Jassy - he quit and went to work for #Flexport, a logistics company that promised to provide sellers that used non-Amazon services with shipping. Flexport did a deal with #Shopify, becoming its "sole official logistics partner."

After years and billions on investment in their own fulfilment network, #Shopify abandons and sells it to #Flexport.

#Logistics is hard, especially when you’ve always been in the virtual world of software. It’s a much more blue collar industry and Shopify finally realized they couldn’t understand it.

Their offering never made most sense to most retailers, they will stick to #ecommerce only and let you figure out how to ship your stuff yourself.
