Sahara sand arrived in Finland, which colors the sunrises and sunsets. This is what it looked like in the evening, waiting for that yellow ball to descend. The air was unusually hazy. At first I thought my eyes were deceiving me, but farther away on the ice there really was an ice surfer. Beautiful moments.

Welcome onboard. We are cruising the Gulf of Finland. The beginning of the year in Finland has been the coldest since 1987, but it's normal that the Baltic Sea at least partially freezes in winter.

The Baltic Sea differs from the oceans in both salinity and temperature. Regional differences within the Baltic Sea are considerable. Salinity and temperature vary even more with depth.
