"So-called Popperian ecologists have not only failed to use but have misused #Popper in their criticisms of ecology. Second, Popper's #falsificationism is an unsuitable philosophy of science for ecology. In other words, ecology should not be criticized nor evaluated from the Popperian perspective in the first place"

A friendly reminder that humans have a confirmation bias: we perceive and remember things that support our beliefs more than things that refute them.
Don't forget to expose yourself to ideas you don't like and test your beliefs for weaknesses!

Confirmation bias
Confirmation bias, also known as observational selection, motivated reasoning, or the enumeration of favorable circumstances, is the tendency for people to (consciously or unconsciously) seek out information that conforms to their pre-existing view points, and subsequently ignore information that goes against them, both positive and negative. It is a type of cognitive bias and a form of selection bias toward confirmation of the hypothesis under study. Avoiding confirmation bias is an important part of rationalism and in science in general. This is achieved by setting up problems so that you must find ways of disproving your hypothesis (see falsifiability).
