Free little penguin viewing platform returns in St Kilda

They’re Melbourne’s tiny celebrities, and now you can see them from a purpose-built viewing platform.

The renovated little penguin viewing platform has reopened, fitted with new warm lighting so as not to stop their busy schedule.

The blue penguin (Eudyptula minor), also known as the little penguin or fairy penguin, is the smallest species of penguin. It typically measures around 30 to 35 cm (12 to 14 inches) in height and weighs approximately 1 to 1.5 kilograms (2.2 to 3.3 pounds).
