Who is talking about what I'm going to call #facialcodinggate?
There's suddenly an influx of criticism of #facialcoding for #emotion research in #marketingresearch & #consumerresearch.

I feel like I've been beating that drum for years. But the new #ICO report (https://ico.org.uk/about-the-ico/media-centre/news-and-blogs/2022/10/immature-biometric-technologies-could-be-discriminating-against-people-says-ico-in-warning-to-organisations/) seems to be driving the latest craze.

I feel people are missing the point though. It's not the tools. It's the people and their overestimation of #AI for use #emotionresearch.

‘Immature biometric technologies could be discriminating against people’ says ICO in warning to organisations
