There is this plugin for WordPress that sucks in events from Eventbrite. OMFG it has so many bugs with it, but the problem is that there aren't a lot of options out there.
UGH!

Vimeo lays off most of its staff, including the entire video team, just months after being bought by private equity.
I wonder what private equity has in store? They also own Brightcove, which is basically the building block of every #Roku channel.
Bending Spoons purchased #AOL in October for $1.5 billion and #Vimeo in September for $1.38 billion. Right now, the same group is closing on #Eventbrite, the live events marketplace and website. That service allows users to browse, create, and promote local events. Last year, Meetup.
Before those purchases, they bought several companies that had to do with time tracking, invoicing, expense tracking, time-based reporting, etc.
I'm in the process of deleting website accounts and issuing data deletion requests to companies.
Many websites are awful when it comes to doing this: deleting account (option isn't available), reaching out to humans (ai chatbots epidemics), finding useful form/contact pages, finding email addresses, filing data related requests, etc.
BUT I've to say EventBrite is so far the best website I've encountered to go about controlling one's data, they've a dedicated subdomain for data requests & control.

This is maybe interesting to know for @RadicalAnthro as they were using #Eventbrite for sign-ups for their open lectures.
I'm sure you can find people here to help you migrate to a new service.
#Mobilizon is missing out by not having paid events.
People are looking for a new platform for event hosting after the #Eventbrite acquisition, and for some this is a barrier.
