Today, the EDPS hosted the second meeting of the AI Act Correspondents Network, a group established to facilitate effective AI governance across EU public administrations.

While the AI Act does not explicitly require the designation of AI correspondents, each EU institution has voluntarily appointed one, recognising the importance of collaboration and shared understanding in this emerging field.
 
@Supervisor highlighted the significance of this initiative to strengthen cooperation between EU institutions, and to ensure the consistent and responsible implementation of the AI Act. He underlined the need for continued dialogue and clarity on how cooperation mechanisms can best support both data protection and AI oversight within EU bodies.
