Although I've always considered Tom Baker "my" Doctor Who, I've grown very fond of Sylvester McCoy, the seventh doctor, in recent years. I always feel attached to movies or series I watch, as if I am a part and it being mine. I had never seen Death In Paradise series and after watching the seasons 1 & 2, I am repeating myself: UK/English series are a class apart. The US ones can never compare anywhere near to them. UK ones are simply for the best of entertainment and at least the ones I have watched are not forcing you to laugh. Just like we had the #flopshow from #doordarshan. Did not make one laugh for the sake of it.
Of course not all series or episodes can do it, and the first or first few are always the best in literally any such. I felt like crying after DI Richard Poole left in Season 3 Episode 1 (stabbed). How Camille also leaves after that.
