I have a couple of very old, faded, blown out tattoos on my back. You can't really tell what they are anymore, but I'm still fond of them. So, I worked with a local artist to get some new work that isn't a cover-up, but that works with the existing 30 year old ink.

Anastasia Lotus Ink was wonderful.

We're both really happy with the results of our collaboration. I might go back to have the old tattoos re-inked. I might have more willow branches added. So many options!

After 6 months of looking at permanent jewelry vendors at markets and never finding black chain as an option, I talked to a local vendor to do a custom order back in December. Meg at The Little Refinery sourced a 2mm black stainless steel chain and oxidized a silver jump ring for me. Everything finally came together today and I love the result! Highly recommend.

One half of the band Dark Chisme came up from Seattle to DJ a Latin Darkwave set for What The Dance at The Shakedown on Friday night. It was well attended, the music was great, and I danced until my knees got sore.
