Today's #rollerderby was probably the single most progress I've ever made at once.

I am still learning basics. Today it was lateral movement, which I jumped from not being able to do at all whatsoever on Monday to doing pretty ok today.

Also learnt turning into a backwards skate and subsequently braking.

The pose when doing the brake, with one leg bent in front and the other extended backwards and resting on the toe brake for friction feels very shōnen anime xD

One very big thing that's changed is that now when I screw something up, instead of flailing and getting confused and falling down, I recover instantly more often than not.

It feels so good to experience this shift ^_^

Picked a dormant project back up this week, to distract from the news. I also made a new video.

I call this one 'MVJ', it's for a member of my derby league who had their MVJ trophy lost or stolen after a game last year.
