Eclipses are known for brining about all kinds of catastrophe. Historically, superstition surrounding eclipses was pervasive; the crossing of the sun and moon was viewed as an omen, a bad omen.

This particular eclipse is one that is bound to cause chaos and upheaval as well. Yet, it asks us: what remains after disaster strikes? Who are we? What will we become? Will we allow our failures to dictate our future? Or will we continue on so that we may one day emerge victorious?

As always, the choice is yours. I nevertheless encourage you to bring something new into your awareness. Perhaps it’s a thought that seems too far out, too outlandish to give any credence to. I want you to consider these things carefully. You never know what silly idea the two bright lights in the sky will shine fondly down upon.

The energy from the eclipse is slowly dissipating. Perhaps, over the past few days you’ve noticed a shift. It could be that something abrupt and unnerving has made itself known, but it is equally likely that this something may appear to be utterly insignificant by nature. Remember that even the smallest of stones is capable of producing the largest of ripples. What seems insignificant now may become monumental later down the line.

Any odd revelations or sensations should be given the utmost credence during this period. Write down your weirdest dreams. Meditate on your most outlandish thoughts. Believe in the impossible. Now is not the time to stick to the status quo. The world needs your ingenuity. Growing pains. Surrendering the outcome.

Growth for all that it is romanticized on social media, remains one of the most difficult and (sometimes) miserable life processes. Part of this stems from the fact that growth is a never ending stream of change. There is no end goal. There is no desired outcome. There is only a vague sense of occasionally being pulled forward only to be pushed back once again.

The lack of discernible finality renders growth imperfect. As a Virgo myself, this is perhaps the most frustrating component of this concept. Perhaps with this lunar eclipse in Virgo you can feel this frustration as well. Resist the urge to simply cast it aside. Let the frustration linger. Give yourself the space to ruminate.

Problems don’t always need to be solved. Growth doesn’t always need to be linear. Transmutation will always find its way through, even in the absence of action, for the most metamorphic journeys happen when we surrender completely.
