@arjen Carlos Castillo mentioned something similar in their #ECIR2024 keynote, where users reported they liked help of "AI" even if it provided useless recommendations.
Very proud of colleague @arjen who received the #ECIR2024 Outstanding Reviewer Award!
Also had the Girvan 25 while I was there. A lot lighter and sweeter than I usually drink, but it was delicious and worked well with desert; might have paired slightly better with a lighter desert. #ECIR2024
With #ECIR2024 in Glasgow, of course I had to go whisky shopping. The Lagg is quite delicious, on the smoky/peaty side, but more smoked than smoke. Notes of bacon and smoked chili and maybe a hint of dried fruit.

Hamlet and IR Social Impact

Effective IR impact work is a creative endeavor that needs to be grounded and contextualized in specific goals for a system in full view of its sociotechnial embeddedness, and creatively deploy inteverentions well-matched to both the goal and the particularities of the system and organization.
