Forward ejection fraction (LVOT derived stroke volume divided by end diastolic volume) is an interesting concept in mitral regurgitation. Conceptually, it's what the EF would be if it wasn't for the preload reduction from the MI. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC... #cardiosky #echosky
