A wander from Inver to the sand spit that protects the firth from the sea. A day of clouds. I noticed gulls mobbing a large raptor above my head. I watched it as it moved east to the open sea beyond the sand spit. My binoculars followed the bird at an ever increasing speed downwards, wings folded in a stoop, until it crashed into the sea immediately re-emerging with a large fish in its talons! The osprey climbed and flew directly overhead. A first for me!!! #osprey #inver #easterrosspeninsula
