Last night, I forgot to post, but all the ceiling fans in our house were wobbling.
My husband received an alert to find cover bc an earthquake was happening, and I was like 🤷‍♀️.
Didn't feel a thing, but we could see the fans just quivering in fear.

Seismograph registered itself having a stroke. That’s relatable energy if you ask me. That first graph, though? Ring of Fire stuff, maybe? End of the world, hopefully? 🫣😬

Just jolted awake here in the east bay by a 3.6 magnitude quake— far smaller than the 5.1 that hit the south bay a little more than a month ago. #EarthquakeCA

@Astro_Jmona i'm seeing a steady flow of LA people joining; if the platform sticks (which I hope it does) I bet we'll see #earthquakeCA trend when the time comes.

@elenaperez good to know. I have the only USGS seismograph North of Sacramento. I wonder if the hashtag #EarthquakeCA would help?

Okay, the 7.1 earthquake in California hit just about 100 miles from me. The last 3 hours have been pretty crazy here. My wife has a lot of family in Ridgecrest, right where the earthquakes have been centered, and luckily no injuries or major damage to her family so far. But some of the images and reports out of Ridgecrest so far have been pretty harrowing. With all the aftershocks, this whole area may be in for another long night.
