What's your experiences with #eGPUs?

My brothers want to play some game that just stutters on my relatively modern laptop with a weak Intel gpu.

I'm not in the mood of big expenses or CO2 👣. Is there any second hand market to speak of? (I'm not finding any!)

Got Thunderbolt 3 on my PC. Currently on Windows, but would love to run this on Linux as well.

@PeterCxy maybe they wanted to prevent people from accidentially using #eGPUs and still output video from the #iGPU, causing the PCOe link to be degraded into 2 lanes instead of 4.
