Just voted for the 2026 .NET Foundation board of directors opening.

It's a ranked choice system, and you don't have to vote for everybody (you can leave people off the list entirely). The only consistent factor I used was: if you're saying "we need moar AI", then you didn't get a vote from me. The last thing we need to do is encourage more slop in the foundation; Microsoft is generating enough on its own without the community pitching in.

Ballot emails have slowly started rolling out to #dotnetfoundation members.

There are two weeks allocated for voting.

If you don't receive an email and think you should've, please let me know.

The #dotnetfoundation nomination committee just had our final meeting to determine the ballot for this election cycle.

I used to think that selecting for conferences was hard. This is another level.

Official nominees will be announced next week.

One benefit the #dotnetfoundation gives to the community is access to our social network.

One of the more exhausting parts of my job at the #dotnetfoundation is sending individual messages to people I think could help the Foundation improve.

No AI spam or blasts. Research, lists, and then manual outreach.

Great episode of Unhandled Exception with Irina Dominte and J. Tower talking about #dotnetfoundation! @danclarke asked a lot of really good questions.
