Doğa S. of the "Antipode" project interviewed us for Toyz Webzine. Hopefully, it turned out as a good and meaningful interview, and not just some self-aggrandizing rambling. The interview is available in both English and Turkish. Teşekkürler!

GLOBAL DIY PUNK SOLIDARITY AND COLLECTIVE MEMORY W/ DIY CONSPIRACY

DIY Conspiracy has been one of those long-running projects that many people in the DIY punk world inevitably come across at some point, whether through interviews, reviews, or scene reports. Over time, it has grown into something that feels less like a single webzine and more like an ongoing archive of underground scenes across different places.

DIY Solidarity Updates!

We were speechless at the number of applications we got in 2026. This year, we received twice as many as in 2025, which unfortunately meant turning down some projects we really loved. To stretch the fund across as many diverse initiatives as possible, some recipients had to receive less than we had hoped.

We're already working to grow the fund for next year. If you have ideas for benefit events or local fundraisers for DIY Solidarity, get in touch so we can build an even bigger solidarity pot together for 2027.

Projects funded through #DIYSolidarity in 2026:

🌍 Los Entrenamientos Populares y Antifascistas by Accion Antifascista Ecuador
🌍 Anti-Hunger Mobile/Food Not Bombs in Bacolod City, Philippines
🌍 Hunger Strikers' zine, compiled by people associated with Prisoners for Palestine
🌍 "Antipode" vol. II, documenting underground punk scenes from SWANA, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and their diasporas
🌍 Solidarity Minded mutual aid project
🌍 Kalinga at Paghilom, a survivor-led workshop on navigating interpersonal and gendered
violence in the Philippine anarchist-punk spaces, including members from Abolisyon!
🌍 Fanzine Club, a global online zine archive
🌍 La Coordinadora Anarquista Tejiendo Libertad (CATL), an anarchist network in Abya Yala (Latin America)
🌍 Squat Fest, Philippines
🌍 Punx Suicida Records, anarchist space in Xalapa, Veracru, Mexico
🌍 Resilience Collective, organizing DIY shows in Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Ihitiko Ksespasma (Ηχητικό Ξέσπασμα, or Noise Outburst) from Thessaloniki was one of the collectives we supported through DIY Solidarity.

In this interview, we talk about the anti-commercial and political dimensions of the DIY punk scene, the Panhellenic Meeting of Self‐Organized Concert Groups and Studios at the Yfanet squat, and making DIY a threat to the commodity culture again. 🏴‍☠️

DIY Conspiracy

Last year, we launched the project DIY Solidarity that allows us to redistribute funds among DIY communities to beat at least some of the injustices that come with a global economic order completely out of balance.

The new application window will be open from March 1-31 at https://diysolidarity.org.

This Friday we'll publish a new interview with one of the collectives we funded in 2024.

DIY Solidarity: Supporting DIY Projects Worldwide

DIY Solidarity is an initiative funded by an aging punk's unexpected inheritance, providing annual support for DIY projects worldwide.

DIY Conspiracy

Last year, we launched the project DIY Solidarity that allows us to redistribute funds among DIY communities to beat at least some of the injustices that come with a global economic order completely out of balance.

One of the groups we were able to support was Etniko Bandido in the Philippines. They’ve been around for a long time and are currently pursuing an ambitious “community resource and land regeneration project.”

Gabriel Kuhn spoke to Cris from Etniko Bandido to find out where the project is at and to learn more about Etniko Bandido and other DIY initiatives in the country.
