Sun rising. Night air floating in. Geo watching crows before closing up against the scorching heat. Two more days till spring
With the extreme heat this week, I'm trying to give Geo more scent work. He's come a long way with being more patient as a youngster. Today, for the first time, I tried blowing kisses up close. All went well 🫶
Geo's discovered his reflection in my glasses. He's been doing this all day 🫶
When you've rolled, know you're gonna need a bath & enjoying the smell while you can. Geo's happy smile face. Deaf dog joy. 🤙
Geo prefers to lick his peanut butter from a tea cup. So far, this method calms him before zoomies & lets him quietly watch neighbors at the window.
Sharing in case it may inspire some calm for you
Geo's first experience with Braille 💖
The kiddo area was quiet today, so Geo had his first chance to explore.
These winds are mesmerizing Geo. I feel he's having a joyful sensory day. Watching dappled light, chasing leaves, standing still taking in the scents & air moving over his fur. Everything smells of rosemary & sage.
We took a short walk when it was safe. At 9 months old, he's gaining more confidence when he sees neighbors and cars.
Wind Watcher & Storm Chaser to be
Winds been howling since dawn. Geo in awe.
Sending you some Geo joy
He taught himself fetch & loves to play with his blue kong. He's able to catch it mid air. Got a quick pic, made a sticker, and hoped to bring some creative relief to the day.
Geo adopted us 6 months ago. He's 9 months old now. Like many blue heelers, it's been a hard journey from the shelter to forever home. He was ill when he came home with us. His deafness was undiagnosed. Everything overwhemed his tiny body.
In a moment of calm today, I was able to capture this moment. Geo looks over his shoulder to us innumerable times a day.
Sending this moment over to you to share the calm.
