Five is the fifth album by trumpeter Dave Douglas and the second to feature his string group following Parallel Worlds (1993).[3] It was released on the Italian Soul Note label in 1996 and features performances by Douglas, Mark Feldman, Erik Friedlander, Drew Gress and Michael Sarin.

I just learned about Dave Douglas, the American jazz trumpeter, composer, and educator. I had never heard of him even though he is incredibly prolific. I love this piece from his quintet; so much fun and so lively.
