The old man and the sea. At Walakiri Beach in Sumba Island, I found the perfect cast for a castaway vibe. Mr Pulu and the dancing tree in the salty afternoon sun. It was all very 'Crusoe' to me: Lazy, lovely and lonely. I am sure the name of the goat must have been Friday.

A frosty mossy maze of branches from a fallen willow tree bathed in some soft morning light.

This is another image from a productive morning down at the local reed marsh. I just love the subtlety of the diffused morning sun giving the mossy branches a nice glow.

The branches are being backlit, but the frosty reeds and grasses are still in shade.
