📖 Luke 1:26–38
Gabriel tells Mary:

“You will conceive… the Holy Spirit will come upon you… For nothing is impossible with God.”
Mary replies:
“I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you’ve said about me come true.”

John Calvin, Swiss Reformer, considers Paul’s appeal for Jerusalem famine in 2 Cor ‭8‬:‭8‬: “I speak not by commandment.” God demands some sort of help, but doesn’t specify the exact amount. The rule of love as the guide.
