A reminder of a lovely sunny day on this gloomy fall one.

I thought for sure I posted this picture before, but I looked through all my previous posts twice to double-check and it doesn't seem like I did. 🤔 Can't shake the déjà vu, though!

Cantigny Park was a nice garden to go to that wasn't super far from home when we lived in Chicago's western suburbs. I still have to find a good "home" park like that close to me here.

Chicago Botanic Garden, 2005

Today's picture, revisiting an old picture of a hyacinth that I posted many years ago. It's an interesting exercise to re-edit old pictures now that new tools and techniques are available.

I posted this picture before many years ago, but I wanted to revisit it because I love how my older macro lens gave this image so much depth. It feels 3D. The Nikon D70 was a great camera. I still use the macro lens, a Vivitar Series 1 105mm f2.

I took this photo at the Brookfield Zoo back in 2005 with a Nikon D70, my first DSLR. Previous to this camera, I was firmly a Sony Cybershot user, mainly the Sony F717, what an awesome camera! But I had read a lot of great things about the Nikon D70
