Along with physical locations, the California Library Network, CALIB for short, operates a network of terminals and lockers, each station named after classic literature authors. Citizens can insert their Library Card or ID to use the terminal. From there, they can authorize pickup or dropoff of borrowed items via the lockers or they can insert a disc to download files from the digital archives.
Instant film point and shoot cameras are a fairly common sight in the Retrofuture. They're largely seen as more trustworthy than digital images since they cannot be manipulated as easily, an impression that some cameras lean into by stamping the date onto the frame automatically. While the traditional square image on permanent white border is most common, there are many alternatives that feature borders of all colors and designs as well as some with removable borders. The image area also comes in many different aspect ratios or shapes, and many styles of film come with a sticky backing, making the images into stickers.

Here we have a NanoTape, a digital data tape format from the Retrofuture. While not as common as the Ultra High Density Discs, it has its niche that it fills for devices too small for multi layered magneto-optical mechanisms and where the speed advantage of random-access data structures aren't as necessary.

The Rotar, a popular model of cellphone in the Retrofuture year of 2429. People enjoy the fidget factor of the rotating blade style earpiece as well as its very compact size, measuring 95 × 45 × 15 mm.
To encourage people to use reusable drinking vessels, many vending machines offer the option to act as a soda fountain, selling the refills at a reduced rate compared to buying a new can/bottle.
The chicharrones are in paper bags because single use plastics are basically banned in The Nation of California in 2429.
There's a lot more magic* in 2429 than one would expect, but three that are particularly relevant to my life:
Shrink Drive: Allows me to change my size on a uniform linear scale from my usual stature of 2m and 200kg all the way down to a minimum of 2cm and 100g.
Portable Biomatter Reactor: Allows me consume foods in order to charge my battery, producing no organic waste product and generating heat and electricity. The most maintenance I have to do is occasionally descale it to clear out salt, iron, and other minerals that are in food.
Hard Light: It's what extends from my wings and lets me fly. Hard light protections are weightless and able to stop gasses from passing through them while solid objects are able to pass through without resistance.
*There's probably scientific explanations for all of them, but I'm not a smart enough robot bird to explain them.
