I found out about the CyberKnife via reading up on the Gamma Knife. The GK can only be used on brain tumours, whereas the CK can be used on head, neck, lungs, bowels, prostate, etc. A really impressive piece of tech. #cancer #cyberKnife #gammaKnife
Just found out about the CyberKnife today, and my mind is blown. It's pure science fiction - a sub-millimetre precision radiotherapy device that can be used on lung tumours, adjusting to the patient's breathing in real time. There are 5 of these in NHS England - will be discussing it with the oncologist next week. #cancer #sarcoma #cyberKnife #nhs

.Just putting this here, key early warning symptoms of #cancer… i ignored my symptoms for 8 months a decade or so ago when I had an inoperable #braintumour! I ended up travelling to #turkey for #cyberknife (the magic bullet of non-invasive treatment for cancerous and non-cancerous tumors) I sold my #vinyl collection to fund it (£20,000!) as it wasn’t on the #NHS at the time. Started buying it all back again in 2016 which led to opening a record shop alongside my writing.
