Another month, and I have release another #cubeSQL based application for the #atari8bit . Total Recall is now available.

Total Recall is a recall assistant. Say what? Have you ever needed to recall when you last did something? Stuff that isn’t quite calendar worthy. Like, when was the last time I cleaned the curtains? Or, when was the last time I washed the car? Total Recall helps you recall those “last times”, right down to the time of day!

After adding an Event to Total Recall, simply Refresh it each time you perform it. Total Recall will show you how many times you’ve completed it, and allow you to see the exact dates and times of each occurrence via a convenient history feature giving you a “Total Recall” of the event! It’s your personal grey matter assistant!

I was recently a guest on the Antic Podcast (number 125). If you want to hear me talk about the history and development of the #cubeSQL bindings I wrote for the #atari8bit, go have a listen. It’s how I bridged an 8 bit to a modern #SQL database.

Built a couple of demo videos to show off my new CubeDot and Fuji Do applications that interact with #cubeSQL as a SQL database backend. Check em out if your interested in seeing them in action.

I just released another Atari 8 bit cubeSQL based application in time for Valentines Day. Dr. Love which tracks your, uh, adult adventures.

Last week I released a project a couple of years in the making which allows the #atari8bit to communicate with a #cubeSQL database. cubeSQL wraps #SQLite as a server. I made an admin program called CubeDot (dBase dot prompt style), a POC todo manager called Fuji Do, and a spoof called Fuji Poo. This allows the Atari to handle over 100,000 records with full featured browsing! You can find out more and download them (with complete manuals) at my website:

I waited to post here until I got some screenshots posted.

I've resumed my #atari8bit project to use a remote #cubesql instance over #fujinet. Progress has been made! The last parsing routine that had me scratching my head back in May has been solved. Now it's just function implementation. Teaser for one tool attached.

Bingo! In earlier testing with cubeSQL, I was using a known seed to validate the hashes were being creating correctly. I now have the the Atari doing generating the seed and connecting to cubeSQL (running on Linux) via FujiNet.

I found an oddity in the FujiNet b64 encode that needs some more troubleshooting to isolate. And that was causing me much grief in trying to get these complex hashes put together successfully - thus the known seed that is now removed.

I can sleep now. :D

It didnt come easily, but.... Voila! Atari 8 Bit connected to CubeSQL via FujiNet! Code written in C with CC65. Now to code up some test DB stuff...

After much persistence, getting very close to a successful CubeSQL connection from the Atari 8 bit via FujiNet.
