There’s this really cool new #Minecraft #CreateMod addon called Create: Power Grid, and it appears to try to reflect how electricity works in real-life. Looks incredibly polished!

Problem is, I dropped out of school and never got to learn, let alone internalize, how this stuff works. (They also have integrated circuits which are way beyond me.) Being a new mod, and with the internet in the shape that it is, I can’t find any information or tutorials on how to effectively use the mod. (Shalz also made a video very recently, and is about as stumped as me.)

So I figured I’d bite the bullet and join their #Discord guild, to look for info or asks around for some pointers. But no, the “Create Addon Hub” (of which Power Grid is just one channel) requires me to verify my phone. Also known as “give them my phone number”, which I’m now even less willing to do now than I was before, with recent developments around Discord, which I probably don’t need to explain to people interested in this.

I’m sad and frustrated as a result. I guess I need to look for another source of information.

For a friend's modded Minecraft server, I had to rub my two brain cells together to come up with a power solution for my base.. and this is what came out of it!

Introducing the VXN Model 0: a nearly self-sustaining boiler engine for the Create mod! The only manual input is netherrack, but it's so easy to get that it's hardly an issue, haha.

I updated the design today since I made some changes on the server but not in my testing world, and thought I'd throw it on my website in case anyone else finds it useful xP

Another thing I got to do today was showing off my #Minecraft #CreateMod portable base in the shape of a BetterStorage/WearableBackpacks backpack to MerAndFrog, who're hosting the server I've been playing on.

Might be one of the best functional builds I've made so far. Made of only Vanilla Create blocks. I'm super proud of it, so I was very happy with the reaction I got. 💚
