A Β½ review of Ghosts Can't Do It (1989)

Watched this to celebrate Trump's indictment. Bo Derek is the trophy wife of Anthony Quinn (who she refers to as "The Great One"). Quinn suffers a heart attack and then shoots himself. An angel (Julie Newmar) informs him he can't get into Heaven. Quinn appears to Bo with a plan to possess a younger body... though Bo will have to kill the person first. Donald Trump is barely in it (but his scenes are hilarious for all the wrong reasons). The dialogue is unbelievably insane. Never understood Bo's appeal. An incredibly bizarre live-action attempt at a DC Comics adaptation from Hanna Barbera (the people behind KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM OF THE PARK). Way past their prime star as Batman and Robin. A no-star cast portray Captain Marvel (Shazam), the Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, the Atom, Black Canary, and Huntress (the daughter of Batman and Catwoman, though they never mention it.). The "heroes" are opposed by 30th Century wizard Mordru (OG Dead End Kid Gabriel Dell) and whoever was in the green room at Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas (note: I'm not even sure if those shows were still on

I have no time for any Tim Allen crap. This is my Santa Claus! The Mexican Santa lives in a cloud city above the North Pole (where I'm guessing he encases bad children in carbonite). He is assisted by Merlin and uses child laborers (in stereotypical costumes) and robotic reindeer. Lucifer hates Christmas and Santa so he dispatches the demon Pitch to corrupt children.
