Finished the whole Huntress vol. I series and yeah, this is simply awesome, though I've never read a single mention, and it's never been collected or had any reprint that I know of. Closest thing I can think of is O'Neill's The Question, in terms of quality and mood (Huntress is way less *explicitly* "philosophical", but no less deep), but The Question has been reprinted and universally praised, and the Huntress, utterly ignored. Again, why, is beyond me.

I've read the -apparently- long forgotten first Huntress (Helena Bertinelli) series arc (issues 1-6), and... What a nice surprise. Quite dark, it's got more elements of "rape & revenge" and mafia stories than the usual superhero topics. The art is not exactly nice, but kind of suits the tone. Why this hasn't become a cult classic is beyond me; maybe the series goes downhill from here? I'll see, and come back with more as I keep reading.

A ★ review of Legends of the Super Heroes (1979)

An incredibly bizarre live-action attempt at a DC Comics adaptation from Hanna Barbera (the people behind KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM OF THE PARK). Way past their prime star as Batman and Robin. A no-star cast portray Captain Marvel (Shazam), the Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, the Atom, Black Canary, and Huntress (the daughter of Batman and Catwoman, though they never mention it.). The "heroes" are opposed by 30th Century wizard Mordru (OG Dead End Kid Gabriel Dell) and whoever was in the green room at Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas (note: I'm not even sure if those shows were still on
