Welp, my friend drives a bus and she did commencement ceremonies this past weekend.
Today she woke up sick, slight fever. The expired Covid test she had at home said negative but she went to urgent care because she has asthma & their non expired test popped positive.
Both these tests were taken within an hour or two of each other, she said the Control line showed up at home, but it was faint on the edge.
So maybe we shouldn’t be trusting negative Covid tests if they are expired even if we take a ton of them.
**Also, if you know someone who rode a charter bus to #commencement in New England (Mass probably) on Sunday who is sick IT IS PROBABLY #COVID**
Frage:
welche Coronatest funktionieren bei den jetzigen Varianten 'gut'?
muß nachbestellen...
Much love to whoever sent around the link to order 300 or more home covid tests free.
I just requested a box, then I sent the link to my PCP through the portal and also to the people who run the fuel assistance/food pantry in this county.
They better order some. I hope they do. They will, right?
Next time I go to the food pantry I plan to ask if they have any #CovidTests so they realize that there’s a demand.
If you use #CAP programs in #Merrimack or #Belknap county #NH if you wanna help me out next time you contact them about anything ask them if they have any Covid tests. I want them to order some.
If they act like that’s a ridiculous ask feel free to mention to them that some random woman from the Internet said she sent them a link on Sunday May 4 to the general email box they can go check it and do it.
“You can no longer order free COVID-19 tests from the government. Here's where to go instead”

Looks like the USPS shut down the covidtests.gov at 8:00 PM EDT on 3/9/2025, per text on the website.
I'm feeling somewhat fortunate in that I got my order placed and received in the last couple weeks.
If they had too many tests stockpiled, better management and allowing people to order additional test kits seems like a better choice than destroying good tests.
"U.S. reverses plan to shut down free covid test program"
Twelve minutes before the site’s planned shutdown, a statement was issued: "With COVID-19 infections decreasing after a winter peak, we are in the process of regular discussions on closing this round of the COVID-19 test ordering program. At this point, the program is still open, and we will share additional updates as needed."

#PSA: Trump/Musk is shutting down the free COVID tests program.
If you haven't ordered the last batch yet, you have until tonight.

Maybe serious grownups, like the Democratic Governors Association, could divert these #COVID tests #COVIDtests from the landfill
