The Cosmotheist Affirmation—written by the late Dr. William Luther Pierce in 1974—serves as a creed and daily statement of purpose for members of the Cosmotheist Community Church, such as myself.

It speaks to the reality of life, the upward trajectory of man, and the eternal goal of Godhood. That's not to say that I think I'll become a god in the future, but that my life is but a rung in the ladder up to a higher man, and he a rung to one higher yet.

Below is a short explanation I wrote on 2024-10-25:

"I see the ultimate 'Godhood' aspect of Cosmotheism as the top of a genetic and existential ladder—so to speak.

So we started on the bottom rung with amoebas and stuff, we couldn't really understand much about the world or 'see' very far.

Then we got to early mammals: we can understand more about the world and interact with it.

Then we got to early hominids: now we can see a good bit, interact at our own accord, and make decisions on how we will act and stuff.

Now we're a bit higher up and we can see a lot, even guessing what it's like to 'see' from higher and lower rungs. We can mold ourselves and our destiny to fit with what we think is best for us.

Then someday, man will be higher still and see even more, and learn more about everything.

Progressing higher and higher until we reach a sort-of ultimate state where we can see, know, and interact with everything. As a God would."
