"The Countryman’s Favour or the #HarvestKnot is one of the most traditional and easiest #StrawCrafts. The shape of the knot resembles a heart, and it was often presented as a love token. Young men would make those favours at harvest time for their loved ones. If she was wearing the Harvest Knot next to her heart, her love was returned.

A Countryman’s Favour is a simple #CornDolly made of 2, 3 or more straw stalks. You can use several #plaiting techniques for this craft.

It's Saturday so it must be a pub post. First visit to the #CornDolly just outside #Bradford centre. A proper old local feel but a very modern selection of cask and keg #beer. It *was* just going to be a quick pint while sheltering from the rain but I think we may be in here a while.
