New #CopyJob, new sticker testprints. Trying to see what materials the shop has that I can use.

The lower stickers are glossy sticker sheets, laser printed on. Very thin, but feels nice. The background layer is more glossy than the toner above, which give a weird but interesting effect.

The square stickers above are my regular sticker paper, laminated. For some reason, the #Copyjob only has 160mic foils, which looks nice but is just way too thick. Like, the foil layer feels twice as thick as the paper layer. I need to buy thinner foil if I wanna go this route. Print looks nice, tho.

(Photo is terrible, because it's suddenly winter again and I didn't feel like turning on the lights at 10am.)

The stars aligned, my brain managed to kick itself into gear and I actually wrote a blogpost about it!

I'm now running a "Suffering for Leiden"* sale over on my Ko-Fi Shop (https://ko-fi.com/glitchbook/shop) to try and build a bit of a budget for my trip to #Leiden bookbinders fair. I added some leftover #glitchart experiments I made back in the day at #CopyJob, but there will also be newer stuff, like books I made recently.

(Expect more stuff over the weekend.)

(* because hustling is painful, and "Leiden" is german for "suffering", but also the name of the town where the fair happens and wordplay is both funny and very painful, so it all fits. Layers, man...)

Special "Suffering for Leiden" Sale & Commissions

For most of this year, my brain has been solidly in bookbinding mode, which is why I decided to visit the Bookbinding Fair in Leiden, Netherlands this November. It's one of the few hand-bookbinding fo

The Glitch(book) Project

@solarbear Depending on your specific needs and local options, this might be something a copyshop could whip up for you.

(At least something at #CopyJob it would have been possible, so I'm extrapolating for other copyshops.)

You might need to provide the dot-grid files for printing, but I think there are templates for that out there. (Worst case I could also whip up some quick layout for you.)

Alternatively there is some on etsy, I think.

In the Before Time, at my old #CopyJob, I made some #GlitchBooks with shunga images, ie. old-timey japanese woodcut porn. These were then gifted to various friends over the years.

A few days ago, a friend who got one of those asked if I can make them a new one.

This is all part of a bigger project I call "Get of my ass and actually do something with all that glitch stuff", so you can expect some more changes, like finally opening up that Ko-Fi shop, allowing people who, for weird reasons, like my stuff and wanna give me money for it to do so.

There will be old stuff (#GlitchBooks left over from #CopyJob) as well as new stuff, like those nifty mini-sticker packs.

The knowledge that #CopyJob can now do direct-to-fabric t-shirt printing is seriously tempting me to try and have a #GlitchArt shirt made while I'm here.
Dreiviertel Stunde Copyshop, dreiviertel Stunde #CopyJob Flashback. XD

Bit bummed that I probably won't get to actually print/cut/assemble these here at formerly- #CopyJob but I'm pretty sure it won't get ready in time.

(Probably could get it done, but it would be a pain and I don't feel like it.)

Taking stock of my remaining #glitchbook stuff and ... Wow, I have more left than I thought.

(Also makes me really miss #copyjob. Printing and making all of those was a lot of fun.)
