My Anova sous vide cooker stick thing is no longer heating the water, just circulating. I don't see any mechanical issues with it, I de-scaled and cleaned the heating element anyway and still no dice. Did the whole hold down button to reset and all that. I bought it used but new in box (worked fine for a year) so I don't know what the warranty situation would be like.

Anyway, I have some film chemicals that I need to use up quickly so I asked my friend if he had one I could borrow.

It requires an app to use though. Be warned lol

It's good to be known so well by your friends that the app disclaimer was provided without being asked. But good grief! You need an app from Breville to even set a temperature, not like fancy cooking cycles (fair enough) but just to say "make water hot", it's sole purpose 🤬

Impressive! 👍 Gotta love hard data - I commend your data collection & reporting which turns an anecdote into a data point that can be monitored over time & ‘shines a light on’ an invidious situation: “the 3rd category related to advertising and ad metric measurement is 415 vendors long.

“The website presenting this pop up was dagens.com, and I checked again today (the original video was recorded on the 20th of September 2025), and that count is now 421 for advertising vendors.

“Further more what person would go through this and only toggle one or two vendors? Absolutely cooked.

“There’s no defending this, and ad/tracking blockers are morally correct 100% of the time. The owners of this trash are Media Group Denmark ApS which appears to be an advertising agency, which is a big shock I know.”

Chat, we are so fucking cooked. Do people not know how to use a computer anymore? Is everything just APP now? Store everything with a giant corporation and be surprised when it's not "free"?

What really gets me is everyone threatening to leave the platform if they start charging. OK? You expect them to care? Like having you as a user matters to them if you're not making them money?
