I think a map of light on the streets below would show that city design is not only about optimizing numbers of housing units.
Ten stories in my neighbourhood are being proposed. Eight with double setback are being built. Used to be we only allowed 5 with top setback.
Fast fast change without reflection/thinking about what kind of city and province and country do we want.
Driven perhaps by too much annual immigration.
Slow and steady wins the race.

I learned an incredible amount editing this article about the ‘cities of the future’ that are being developed around the globe. ‘The Line’ in #SaudiArabia looks remarkable. However, if I had to pick one to live in, I reckon I’d opt for #Biodivercity in #Malaysia or #Telosa in the #UnitedStates. Which of these futuristic, environmentally friendly #cities would you want to live in?
