I need to get a decent quality USB2 CD/DVD burner. Blu Ray support wouldn't hurt either.
I still have lots of CDs I need to rip and BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I still have need to burn CDs and DVDs.
I have a laptop old enough to have a CD drive built in, but that laptop is about to die, so having an external one would be useful.
Although I have to admit, sometimes I feel like I'm the last person in the world who still plays and burns and rips CDs.
I believe this is the first CD-R I ever burned, on the external USB HP burner I bought at the Woodland Hills Fry's Electronics.
If I recall correctly its max speed was quite slow, maybe as slow as 2x, and you couldn't really use the computer for anything else while it was burning.
I don't actually remember if this is an audio mix CD, or a "Holy shit, you mean I can fit *all* of Led Zeppelin's albums on one CD that I can carry with me?" CD-Rom. I have no need of it anyore, but I'm frankly curious whether it's still readable. #cdburner #cdr #ledzeppelin #2000s #earlyaughts
