@Downes there is nothing non-impressive as a read/write in your feed environment.

Been missing component since #CCK08

Many in the IndieWeb community turned to other feeds beyond RSS, and use micropub/microsub but workflow and goals still same.

webmentions in an RSS reader is awesome!

Teaching with webmentions and a social readers improved my pedagogy and experience as teacher.

watch post to videos, read post to articles, replies to each other, and soon will have HTML webmention badges

@Downes Are you going to be able to remote into #IndieWebCamp NYC ? We were discussing gRSShopper, the history of of #CCK08, #rhizo, and #ds106.

Folks wanted to hear about your work. Will post schedule grid in a bit (once audience makes it)

@goldiestandard good piece about the role of online education. You should mention places like #CCK08, #rhizo15, #ds106 online courses with distributed deliver system still growing strong in new permutations.

Actually you just attend @IndieWebCamp in NYC https://indieweb.org/2018/NYC

@Downes @Tdorey @cogdog Yes hard to pick a start of open as it is philosophy and not a tool set. I like #cck08 as a historical marker due to deliberate design of decentralized learning. As an FYI we are working with Athabasca press on the Open Pedagogy book.

As @wiobyrne and I work on our Open Pedagogy book I am drawn to idea that the first courses like @Downes #CCK08 and were meta in the sense of proof of concept.

Part of reason, and the point we draw distinction between open education and open pedagogy.

The design for learning was intentional.
