One of the joys of playing percussion is the tactile nature of the instruments. Whenever I practice I am always aware of how the instrument 'feels' in my hand - the textures and shapes.

Caxixi (ka-she-she) are woven basket shakers that come in a myriad of shapes and colours. Each has a different sound, a unique character. I find them beautiful to the eye.

Playing an instrument is mindful bliss.
