"Cat-eye" button on the waist adjuster. Plastic rather than metal buttons were used here to prevent damage to furniture but also to the lining of coats worn on top of the Riders jacket (which was originally thought of more like a heavy shirt than a jacket). The characteristic cat-eye shape prevents friction on the thread, helping the button stay on longer.
