Some obligatory references to #TheXFiles in this video essay arguing for the return to the episodic format on television, which has been lost with the “everything must be relevant to the main plot” trend of streaming shows.

It maps how bushrangers inspired fictional representations especially Captain Midni(gh)t(e)s.
It's simple really. The fictional Captain Midnite was inspired by the real Captain Starlight, who thought he inspired the fictional Captain Starlight, but that character was actually based on the real Captain Midnight.
