And result in more fish.
It's the #capatalism #paradox that they would rather catch all the fish now (ie maximise profit) resulting in no more fish in the future, rather than have a sustainable catch ensuring abundant fish and a future.

@[email protected] Good, but... the Scottish Government has dragged its feet over this for decades, largely because of undue influence from the SFF and others. Trawling (and dredging, and electrofishing) should be banned within all MPAs and inshore waters; a reinstatement of the three-mile limit - abolished by Thatcher (at the request of the fishing barons) - perhaps updated to 5 or even 10 kilometers, would greatly increase Scotland’s marine biodiversity and make healthier seas.
