Me: trying to cabeceo the further woman
Man with fan: notices and hand motions “me? Or further?”
Me: points finger in arc for “further”
Man: taps closer woman and gestures
Closer woman: holds up shoe to show she’s changing and leaving
Me: shakes head and points finger in arc for “further” again, mouthing the further woman’s name
Zwei Kreuzungen sind m.E. falsch ausgeschildert.
Z.B. war am Anfang die #Musik nichts für mich, ich mochte #Swing viel lieber. Durch den Tanz erst habe ich die Musik lieben gelernt und jetzt höre ich mehr #Tango als Swing. Zum Glück habe ich ignoriert, daß die Musik anfangs nicht meinem Geschmack entsprach.
Und bzgl. der Aufforderungskultur (Du meinst #Cabeceo, richtig?) haben die Auffordernden (meist die Führenden, meist Männer) anfangs oft mehr Probleme als die Aufgeforderten (meist die Folgenden, meist Frauen). Ist jedenfalls meine Erfahrung.
Geographie ist aber ein guter Punkt!
Und Geld. Es ist einfach #scheißteuer geworden, regelmäßig auf eine #Milonga zu gehen. Wer #armutsbetroffen ist, muß möglicherweise zu "möglicherweise etwas preiswerteres probieren" abbiegen.

When they dance for t crowd, that is called 'showing off', or 'show-dancing', like u see on TV in UK Strictly.

You NEVER know which way the dice will roll in #argentinetango ... yesterday's #milonga was a total disappointment for me.
The room wasn't conducive to #cabeceo so I failed to dance w my favourites. Despite being congratulated by my #tangoteacher on being a v good dancer I didn't get a dance w him either.
When I analysed the event last night as I lay in bed I realised that in reality it was ALL about my state of mind. Venue is filled w negative connotations for me, & I let it affect me.
