Jenseits aller Twists und Tech-Spielereien ist das hier vor allem ein popkultureller Stresstest: Was passiert, wenn eine Frau in einem erotischen Thriller nicht das Objekt, sondern tatsächlich der Motor der Handlung ist? Halle Berry zeigt sich hier in einem Genre, das jahrzehntelang weibliches Begehren nur unter einer Bedingung zugelassen hat: Es musste bestraft werden. Bruce Willis non sarebbe consapevole della propria demenza. A raccontarlo ai fan era stata la moglie Emma Heming durante il podcast Conversations with Cam: “Non l’ha mai capito, e sono davvero felice di questo. Riesce ancora a connettersi con me”.
Ora a parlare dell’attore è la figlia Rumer Willis, nata dal matrimonio con Demi Moore, in un’intervista al podcast The Inside Edit. “Sono così grata di poter andare da lui, di poterlo vedere. Anche se ora è diverso, provo una gratitudine enorme”, racconta. Poi aggiunge: “Ha una dolcezza particolare. È sempre stato un uomo molto macho, ma oggi c’è una fragilità, anche se forse non è la parola giusta, una tenerezza che magari, essendo Bruce Willis, non gli sarebbe mai stata concessa”.
Parole piene d’amore e consapevolezza, quelle di Rumer Willis, che prova a trovare uno spazio di gratitudine anche dentro la malattia del padre. L’attrice parla poi delle difficoltà legate alla diagnosi della demenza frontotemporale: “È incredibile quante persone mi fermino per dirmi: ‘Mio zio aveva la demenza frontotemporale’, oppure ‘Mio padre aveva questa malattia’. Nelle persone sotto i 60 anni è la forma di demenza più comune e, dato che la diagnosi può richiedere anni, probabilmente la FTD è molto più diffusa di quanto pensiamo”.

Now it’s his daughter, Rumer Willis, born from her marriage to Demi Moore, who is speaking about the actor in the podcast The Inside Edit. “I’m so grateful to be able to go see him, to see him. Even though he’s different now, I feel immense gratitude,” she says. Then she adds: “He has a particular sweetness. He has always been a very macho man, but today there’s a fragility, even if it’s not the right word, a tenderness that perhaps, being Bruce Willis, would never have been granted to him.”

The actress then talks about the difficulties linked to the diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia: “It’s incredible how many people stop me to tell me: ‘My uncle had frontotemporal dementia’ or ‘My father had this illness.’ It’s the most common form of dementia in people under 60, and since the diagnosis can take years, the FTD is probably much more widespread than we think.”
