Vivaldi (the web browser) does something sneaky-cool on Debian.. you download the deb, "run" it, and as a part of the postinstall script it drops its repo into sources.list.d... meaning (for those not Linux wizards) that it will update automagically ... but _under your control_.. no muss no fuss no command line guru-babble.

The only thing that drives me away from #firefox is the need to restart it after an update. Is it hard to keep your session usuable and then launch the updated version when you restart it? I've lost hours of uploads because it died on me after my automatic update script updated the system.
